Project Brief:
The HOKA | All.IN @ PLC project was a meaningful educational program organized by HOKA and Pensole Lewis College. During this hands-on learning experience, I served as the Color & Material Designer and worked closely with two footwear designers. Together, we created a cohesive design concept to help HOKA envision the future of recovery footwear by 2030. Our goal was also to expand HOKA’s presence and connect the brand with local consumers in the rapidly growing and promising Asian market.
Based on our consumer and market research, I created a visual consumer board, developed two color stories, and tested various color-blocking ideations. By strategically applying color and materials to the recovery collection, I aimed to create an engaging sensory experience that resonates with the target consumer group.
As part of my ongoing work in sustainable materials R&D, I curated a material palette that ensured both recovery performance and environmental responsibility—catering to HOKA’s eco-conscious and function-focused consumers.
Huge thanks to Suzette Henry, Haydee Franco, the PLC Education Team, and the HOKA Team for their generous guidance and genuine support throughout this project, which made everything possible.
